ZEROBASEONE's Park Gunwook, personally apologized for the controversy that arose at their fansign event on June 5, 2026. The issue arose after Park Gunwook was seen in a video announcing a winning number that was different from the one he actually drew during the Polaroid giveaway at the event.

The video quickly spread across online communities and social media platforms, sparking questions from some fans about whether the winners had been intentionally changed to favor certain participants. In response to the situation, Park Gunwook stated, "I should have been more careful in my judgment and actions at the time, but I failed.

I am very serious about the confusion and pain my actions have caused many people." He added, "I have always deeply appreciated the love that fans have given me, and I am deeply sorry for not being able to show an image worthy of that affection.

I will not take this matter lightly and will reflect earnestly on my actions." Furthermore, Park Gunwook also expressed his apologies to his colleagues and the staff present at the scene, saying, "I would like to once again apologize for disappointing ZEROSE, who supported and believed in us throughout our promotions for this album.

I would also like to apologize to my ZEROBASEONE colleagues and the staff who have worked hard beside us." He concluded his statement with an apology, stating, "Going forward, I will act more carefully, reflect on myself sincerely, and become someone who does not bring shame to the trust that ZEROSE has placed in me."

Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE was formed through Mnet's survival audition program, 'Boys Planet'. They officially debuted on July 10, 2023, with their first mini-album, 'YOUTH IN THE SHADE', and recently made a comeback on May 18 with their sixth mini-album, 'Ascend-'.
