The latest news comes from former member of South Korean boy group RIIZE, Seunghan. After almost a year of not being seen in public, Seunghan will make his second debut with a new name, Xnghan next month.
The news of Seunghan's debut was officially announced by SM Entertainment on Wednesday June 11, 2025.The owner of the full name Hong Seunghan is ready to start a new chapter and cure the longing of his fans. The letter X in Seunghan's stage name reflects the crossover of his limitless potential.
Xnghan will also still be read as Seunghan. The man born on October 2, 2003 is not alone. He will collaborate with Xoul as a member of the group Xnghan & Xoul, which consists of creators who are engaged in music, performance, style, and art. Seunghan's debut as Xnghan & Xoul is scheduled for July 2025.
"This new journey will begin in July and Xnghan has the ambition to create performances and experiences that go beyond boundaries, together with creative creators who are in line with his vision to continue to grow," said the agency SM Entertainment in a statement, as reported by The Korea Herald.
For your information, Seunghan started his career as a member of the Kpop group RIIZE on Monday April 9, 2023. However, his activities were stopped in two months due to controversy from his personal life.
A photo of Seunghan kissing his ex-girlfriend a month before his debut was circulating. There was also a photo showing Seunghan smoking on the streets of Japan. Despite his apology, his debut with RIIZE was criticized.
SM Entertainment had announced Seunghan's return as a member of the Kpop group RIIZE on Friday November 10, 2024, but it was canceled after two days due to negative reactions from netizens. As many as 1,000 funeral wreaths were delivered in front of the SM Entertainment building.
