The time has finally come for Kwak Dong Yeon to fulfill his duties to the nation. As reported by Soompi, on Tuesday (July 21, 2026), local South Korean media reported that the South Korean actor will enlist in the military next month.
His agency, TheBlackLabel, confirmed the news. "Kwak Dong Yeon will begin active duty on August 25, 2026, and will carry out his military service with full responsibility," the agency said in a statement.
It was also added that the actor will enter the Korean Army Training Center without a special farewell ceremony. The Korea JoongAng Daily reported that after completing basic training, he will be assigned to a unit as an active-duty soldier.

However, he is expected to take part in the filming of the 10th anniversary special variety show "Love in the Moonlight" scheduled for early August. Kwak Dong Yeon left for military service in the midst of his increasingly shining career.
