On Thursday July 17, 2025, his agency, FNC Entertainment, announced in an official statement that their artist Rowoon was forced to postpone his military enlistment after undergoing a pre-enlistment examination ahead of his departure.
As reported by Soompi, Rowoon was scheduled to enlist in the military on July 21, 2025. However, after undergoing a pre-enlistment examination prior to his departure, the actor received a notice to undergo a re-examination (Grade 7).
Following this notification, Rowoon has filed an appeal and is scheduled to undergo a re-examination in early August 2025. The agency FNC Entertainment further stated that the reason for the re-examination concerns the actor's personal health record data, which cannot be disclosed publicly.
"Hello, this is FNC Entertainment. We would like to share an update regarding our artist Rowoon's military enlistment schedule. Rowoon was previously scheduled to enlist as an active duty soldier on July 21, 2025," the agency stated.
They further stated, "However, starting in early July, the Military Manpower Administration has been conducting pre-enlistment checks two weeks before departure for all prospective conscripts. During these checks, Rowoon received a notice of re-examination for grade 7."
In more detail, the agency also explained the steps the idol has taken, including submitting a request for a re-examination, which is scheduled for August. Rowoon hopes there will be no issues with his military enlistment plans. The actor also expressed his desire to remain on active duty and enlist as soon as possible.
