Ariana Grande has spoken out about fans' concerns about whether the musician will truly step away from music. These concerns stemmed from Grande's meteoric rise in acting after her role as Glinda the Good in Wicked (2024).

Many fans were growing increasingly anxious when Ariana Grande was confirmed to be the voice actress for the project "Oh, the Places You'll Go." The "One Last Time" singer finally spoke out and firmly stated that she would not be retiring from music.

"It's ridiculous that you think that because I'm busy with so many things, I'm going to step away from singing and music," Grande said in an Instagram post on Wednesday (July 16, 2025). "Music is and always has been a part of my life. There will always be room for all of that," she continued.

Ariana Grande later acknowledged that the current situation might be difficult for everyone, including her loyal fans, to understand. However, she feels the career she's currently pursuing aligns with her long-held desires.

The Supernatural singer admitted that he is currently enthusiastic about pursuing the world of acting and musical performances, so he seems to be taking on many projects that have been his dream for a long time. However, he also asked fans not to worry about Ariana Grande's music career.

She even admitted to making comeback plans to perform as a singer again next year. "I'm so happy. I feel grateful, excited, and inspired. Seeing that balance between the many projects and work I love, and doing it my own way," Grande said.

"So, I'm making plans to sing for you all. Even if it's just for a little while. I love you," she concluded. Ariana Grande recently took a break from the music industry. She last released her seventh album, Eternal Sunshine, on March 8, 2024.

He even just released a reissue version of the album entitled Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead on March 28, 2025. The album features six additional songs, for example Twilight Zone and Warm.

Despite this, she has been receiving increasing job offers as an actress for various projects, including musicals. Grande was cast as one of the leads in Wicked, alongside Cynthia Erivo. Wicked is a feature film project from director Jon M. Chu with a screenplay by Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz.

The film Wicked is an adaptation of the musical stage play Wicked, which was also adapted from the novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (1995) by Gregory Maguire. On the other hand, the character Wicked is based on L. Frank Baum's novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The novel was originally adapted into a film by MGM in 1939. The project has since continued with a second installment, titled Wicked: For Good, which will be released later this year. Furthermore, Grande was recently announced as one of the voice actors in the film Oh, the Places You'll Go, directed by Jon M. Chu.
