On August 23, 2025 KST, AOMG officially released a statement regarding the artist's enlistment . In the announcement, the agency expressed its gratitude to fans and confirmed that GOT7's Yugyeom would enlist at the end of September 2025.
Furthermore, AOMG explained that Yugyeom had been accepted into the special forces after receiving confirmation from the Korean Military Manpower Administration. The 1997-born idol is scheduled to begin basic training on September 29, 2025 KST, before serving in a military band unit.
The agency emphasized that the registration schedule and location will not be announced to ensure safety and security. Therefore, AOMG asked fans to refrain from visiting the location and emphasized that there will be no special events on registration day.
