Once again, the Korean drama world is ready for a new, intriguing spectacle! This time, it's Typhoon Company, the latest drama that has entered the script reading stage. Starring Kim Min Ha and 2PM's Lee Jun Ho, the two are ready to captivate audiences.

This latest Netflix drama has been a hit since its announcement. Just from the title, you can already imagine it's going to be an intense and emotional story. For those of you who enjoy dramas set in the business world, Typhoon Company is a must-see. Check out the synopsis below!

This latest Netflix drama is set in 1997, when South Korea was rocked by a major economic crisis. Kang Tae Poong's father owned a small company called Typhoon Trading Company. Born into a wealthy family, Tae Poong was accustomed to a relaxed life without much thought.

However, everything changed drastically when the crisis struck. His family's company was affected, and at the same time, his father passed away. Not wanting to stay silent, Tae Poong finally dared to step forward to become CEO in order to save the company that his father loved so much.

He used to be a bit childish, but now this man is starting to show a more mature side. He's become warm-hearted, takes on great responsibility, and isn't afraid to take on challenges. Together with his family and employees, including Oh Mi Sun, Tae Poong fights tooth and nail to keep Typhoon Trading Company afloat.

On the other hand, Oh Mi Sun is the eldest child in her family and has to bear many burdens. At the company, she works as a bookkeeper, taking care of small things like washing glasses, sorting receipts, and even compiling financial records.

However, after witnessing Tae Poong's serious efforts to save the company, Mi Sun is rejuvenated. With her hard work and sincerity, she dreams of truly becoming a career woman at  Typhoon Trading Company.

The reading session was incredibly lively, attended by director Na Jung, writer Jang Hyun, and a stellar cast. Junho himself immediately took the spotlight as Tae Poong. Not only was his gaze full of confidence, but his dialogue delivery was also captivating.

Kim Min Ha plays Oh Mi Seon, the older sister who is the breadwinner of the family while pursuing her dreams. The actress successfully conveys subtle emotions, complemented by her 90s Seoul accent, which adds to the drama's authentic feel.

Kim Min Seok plays Wang Nam Mo, Tae Poong's close friend and a member of the trendy Apgujeong Street Boys gang. His energetic and playful style immediately livens up the reading atmosphere, making you feel like a true 90s kid. The Typhoon Company team was also busy.

There was Lee Chang Hoon as sales manager, Kim Jae Hwa as deputy administrative manager, Kim Song Il as management director, and Lee Sang Jin as assistant logistics manager. What makes it even more interesting is that Sung Dong Il will make a special appearance as Tae Poong's father.

He is a strict but loving father figure. Meanwhile, Kim Ji Young, as the mother, captivates the audience with her role as a glamorous housewife who has lost everything but remains strong for her child. Mi Seon and Nam Mo's family also adds color to the story.

Kwon Han Sol plays Mi Seon's younger brother, who is tough on the outside but soft on the inside. Then there is also Kim Young Ok who plays the grandmother with full warmth, Kwon Eun Seong as the youngest, and Park Sung Yeon as Nam Mo's mother. Typhoon Family is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in October 2025.
