Kpop idol from boy group SEVENTEEN, Jun, seems to be getting more serious about pursuing his acting career in China. SEVENTEEN's Jun is known to be acting alongside senior Chinese actor, Jackie Chan in a film entitled The Shadow's Edge.

Besides Jackie Chan, Jun will also act with other popular Chinese actors such as Zhang Zi Feng, Tony Leung, Ci Sha, Zhou Zheng Jie, and others. The Shadow's Edge is a crime thriller that depicts a fierce conflict between a notorious criminal organization and the police who pursue them.

The plot of the film follows a group of cunning and treacherous thieves who challenge the Macau Judicial Police on various fronts. To counter this persistent threat, the police brought back a legend in the field named Huang De Zhong. He is a well-known tracking expert who has been retired for many years.

His presence in fighting this case makes him collaborate with young elites in the Criminal Investigation Department. As traditional tracking techniques clash with advanced technology, the battle between police and criminals intensifies.

The battle between the two parties then developed into a thrilling game of cat and mouse. Intelligence and courage will determine who the ultimate winner is in the battle between good and evil in The Shadow's Edge.

According to information released by Jun's agency, PLEDIS Entertainment on Sunday, January 19, 2025, the artist will play a character named Hu Feng. He is a villain and is a key figure in this group of criminals. “Jun will play the villain and showcase stunning action scenes in the film,” the agency said.

“Having trained in martial arts since his childhood, fans are eagerly anticipating the action he will showcase on screen,” the agency added in a statement. Meanwhile, legendary action star Jackie Chan plays the role of a veteran detective and Tony Leung plays the character of Hu Feng's adoptive father.

Just like Hu Feng, his adoptive father is also the main antagonist and villain in the film. The Shadow's Edge is directed by Larry Yang, best known for the 2015 film Mountain Cry, which was the closing film of the Busan International Film Festival.

To make the audience even more curious, The Shadow's Edge has also released its first poster. Thick with action vibes, this first poster shows a group of detectives and criminals on guard against each other.

Each of them holds a weapon like a gun which hints at the story as the plot is full of action scenes. The release schedule details have not been confirmed, but the film The Shadow's Edge is confirmed to hit the big screen in 2025.
