Chinese singer and actor Yu Menglong reportedly passed away at the age of 37 on Thursday September 11, 2025. The sad news was announced directly by his management. This sad news initially appeared on social media as a rumor.
However, the actor's management released an official statement on Weibo: "It is with immense sadness that we announce that our beloved Menglong passed away after a fall on September 11, 2025. Police have ruled out foul play.
We hope he rests in peace, and that his family and loved ones are given strength," his management wrote on Friday (September 12, 2025). News of the actor's death was widely discussed this morning after a paparazzi posted on Weibo that he allegedly died from falling from a height.
The post, which was later deleted, detailed that Yu had attended a gathering with five or six friends on the night of Wednesday September 10, 2025. At around 2 a.m., he went into a room to sleep and locked the door.
“When his friends wanted to go home at 6 am, they didn't find him and then his body was found on the ground floor,” the paparazzi wrote. "A resident walking his dog reported the incident to the police, who are still investigating, although they have ruled out any criminal activity," he continued.
Hours later, the paparazzi posted another post, also later deleted, claiming to have visited the scene. He wrote that a window of one of the fifth-floor apartments appeared broken, and a building staff member confirmed that the victim was Yu Menglong.
