BLACKPINK’s Rose has made headlines once again, this time with a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On Tuesday September 23, 2025 night at 30 Rock studios, Rose joined Jimmy Fallon for a lively game of charades and surprised him in the studio halls with her global hit “APT."
The show begins with Jimmy Fallon humming alongside Rose and Bruno Mars’ hit song APT. “Man, it’s almost scary how I can’t get that song out of my head," Jimmy Fallon says as he walks down an empty hallway.
He then stands in shock when Rose appears at the end of the hallway singing the song. During the guessing game on the show, Rose competed against Tariq Trotter from The Roots and guest Kate McKinnon.
With Rose accurately identifying that the talk-show host was miming Sabrina Carpenter’s hit Espresso in the first round before acting out clues for Love Island, which Fallon also correctly identified, it was a tie going into the final free-for-all round.
The final prompt was Elvis, prompting Rose to deliver her best Elvis imitation. Jimmy Fallon’s team clinched the round by guessing the correct answer just seconds before Tariq Trotter.
Interestingly, this is not Rose’s first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The talk show appearance comes just weeks after Rose’s Billboard Hot 100-topping duet with Bruno Mars, “APT.," won Song of the Year at the 2025 VMAs.
She had previously performed the hit on The Tonight Show in December, alongside Toxic Till the End from her debut solo album Rosie. This special episode of The Tonight Show aired at 11:35 p.m. Eastern / 10:30 p.m.
