BTS's V is back in the public spotlight after reportedly purchasing a luxury penthouse in the elite residential complex The Penthouse Cheongdam (PH129) in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, for a staggering 14.2 billion won.
Interestingly, the purchase was made in cash without involving a bank loan. According to property ownership data released on September 24, 2025, V officially purchased a 273.96 m² penthouse unit on September 17, 2025.
The property features a duplex structure with five bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it one of the most luxurious residences in the Gangnam area. V is known to have signed a purchase contract in May 2025 and completed the full payment on September 17, 2025, simultaneously completing the ownership transfer process.
The Penthouse Cheongdam (PH129), completed in 2020, is known as one of the most expensive residential complexes in Seoul. The complex consists of 29 units, all duplexes, with premium amenities from the basement to the 20th floor.
The complex is also home to a number of famous celebrities, such as actor couple Jang Dong Gun and Ko So Young, legendary golfer Park In Bee, and renowned teacher Hyun Woo Jin. V's move adds to a long list of luxury property purchases by BTS members.
Previously, Jin purchased a unit in Hannam The Hill for 17.5 billion won without a loan last June, and even gifted two other units in the same complex to his parents. J-Hope also made a name for himself, purchasing a penthouse in AFER Hangang for 12 billion won in cash last year.
Meanwhile, RM and Jimin each own units in Nine One Hannam, purchased in 2021 for 6.3 billion won and 5.9 billion won, respectively. Jungkook now lives in a newly built private home in Yongsan-gu, while Suga resides in Riverhill Hannam.
