South Korean actor Jung Woo Sung made his first public appearance after a year of being off the radar. He attended the opening of the 34th Buil Film Awards in Busan on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Jung Woo Sung wore a black suit and trousers. Known for his clean look, he now sports a mustache and a light beard. As one of the presenters, the actor spoke about his enthusiasm for hosting the show and had the chance to talk about his latest series, Made in Korea.
"Whether as a presenter or recipient, standing on stage at an awards show is always nerve-wracking. I don't think this feeling will go away until I stop acting," Jung Woo Sung was quoted as saying by The Korea Times.
He then presented the trophy to Lee Byung Hun, who won Best Actor for the film The Match. He also admitted he couldn't describe the Made in Korea series. “It’s hard to explain it in words,” Jung Woo Sung said again.
Jung Woo Sung's presence as one of the presenters is a continuation after he won the Best Actor category at the Buil Film Awards in 2024. Jung Woo Sung withdrew from public view following controversy surrounding his affair with model Moon Gabi.
Woo Sung acknowledged Moon Gabi's child as his biological child, though he denied their relationship. Then, several Korean media revealed that Jung Woo Sung had registered his marriage with his girlfriend whom he had been dating for 10 years.
