South korean actor Yun Ji On has stepped down from production of his upcoming drama, Positively Yours, after being caught driving under the influence (DUI). He also underwent police questioning on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
This news was confirmed by IEUM HASHTAG's agency, which also explained that their contract with the actor had ended in July 2025. "Our exclusive contract with Yun Ji On expired on July 6, and we mutually agreed not to renew it.
While he was looking for a new agency, we temporarily assisted him with his work, but our working relationship is no longer in progress," IEUM HASHTAG said on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
"It is true that Yun Ji On was arrested by the police for DUI on September 16. As a result, he has stepped down from Channel A's new drama, Positively Yours," the agency said. Not long after, Yun Ji On wrote an apology on social media to fans for the negative news he made.
"First, I feel heavy and sorry for sharing this news. On September 16, 2025, while intoxicated to the point of not realizing my actions, I made the mistake of driving my motorcycle," Yun Ji On wrote.
"I have admitted all charges and accepted the damages. Because of my actions, I hurt many people who supported me. I have no excuse. I sincerely apologize. I will live with this regret for the rest of my life, and I will ensure that something like this never happens again," he continued.
"I will also cooperate with the investigation and accept any punishment given. There is no room for excuses. Once again, I bow my head in apology. I apologize," Yun Ji On concluded.
Yun Ji On is a young actor who debuted in theater in 2013. He starred in several hit dramas such as Jirisan and Love Next Door. On the other hand, the drama Positively Yours starring Choi Jin Hyuk and Oh Yeon Seo is in the production stage.
