Rowoon has been given a new military enlistment date after his previous enlistment was postponed by the South Korean Military Manpower Administration (MMA). He was originally scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier on July 21, 2025.
However, the schedule was postponed because the former SF9 member received a Grade 7 in his pre-military physical examination. Therefore, he must undergo a repeat physical examination to determine his eligibility for active duty.
After conducting a reassessment in early August 2025, the South Korean Military Manpower Administration (MMA) officially announced that the idol and actor, whose real name is Kim Seok Woo, will begin his term on October 27, 2025.
"As we previously stated, there will be no special event to send Rowoon off. This is to prevent crowds from gathering in the military area," FNC Entertainment said, as quoted by Soompi on Wednesday (August 27, 2025).
The agency also asked fans not to visit Rowoon's military service location, as the area should be sterile from civilians. "However, we still hope that you will give support and love to Rowoon until he completes his military service," the agency said.
