After the controversy over his condolence post for Charlie Kirk, Super Junior's Siwon Choi has again drawn criticism due to another Instagram post. This time, he reposted a post that hinted at Islamophobia.

On September 29, 2025, netizens on X were widely discussing an Instagram story on Siwon's personal account. The post read, "Christians in Nigeria do not give up their faith after Islamists burn their church to the ground," along with a video showing a pastor and his congregation praying without shelter.

Many netizens believe that Siwon's reposting of the post is Islamophobic. This is extremely dangerous because it marginalizes a religious community and can lead to intolerance. Netizens, especially SuJu's own fans, EL, condemned Siwon's actions, even raising the hashtag #SIWON_OUT on X again.

The hashtag is not only based on the recent controversy, Siwon is considered to have long harmed the group's reputation due to his political views and lack of sympathy for the world situation.

Choi Siwon debuted with Super Junior in 2005 and will celebrate their 20th anniversary by holding the "SUPER SHOW 10" concert. There has been no statement from the agency or from Siwon himself regarding this controversy.
