Recently, there have been rumors about Super Junior's Leeteuk's closeness to a golfer who is 18 years younger than him. The rumor started from a social media post showing photos of Leeteuk with a woman.
The post also mentioned that the two of them were engaged in lovestagramming or social media activities that lead to a romantic relationship. The woman in the photo is believed to be professional golfer Jang So Hee, who won her 14th KLPGA Grand Slam Jump Tour title in 2024.
Not wanting the rumors to spread any further, Leeteuk immediately took action. He revealed the facts behind the photo in a live broadcast on social media. Leeteuk said that when the photo was taken, he wasn't alone with Jang So Hee.
He mentioned that Shindong was also attending the golf event with him. "I saw the photos and I was speechless because Shindong was sitting next to me, and on the other side was his friend too," said Leeteuk.
Leeteuk was surprised that the photo was staged to appear as if he and Jang So Hee were playing alone. He explained that golf usually involves groups of at least four people. Leeteuk didn't deny his frustration after seeing the photo.
He even planned to discuss the matter with the golf club's management. "I don't know who took those photos and then deliberately made it look like I was out alone with someone," he said. "Honestly, I'm furious. I'm going to file a complaint against the golf club.

Leeteuk also noticed that the person frequently changed their username. "I've thought several times, 'Is this person really my fan?' Or 'Does this person want me to do something wrong?'' What do they want from me by saying these things?'" Leeteuk said.
"They're throwing threats around. Why? For what?" he added. Because of this incident, Leeteuk admitted that he became closer to Jang So Hee. He also felt bad for Jang So Hee, who received negative comments since the rumors about him.
"We became closer because of that," Leeteuk said. "Why? Because he was being cursed at every day, and of course I felt sorry for him. 'Ah, it's not like that, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry,'" he concluded.
