Super Junior's Leeteuk finally opened his voice regarding the dating rumors that were recently widely discussed. Leeteuk admitted that he was surprised by the gossip that continued to appear without a clear basis.
"I don't know why, yes. Is it because only one person did it or not, I don't know. However, stories that don't make sense continue to appear. So I will explain them," said Leeteuk, quoted from Instagram @kpopcart, on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
The South Korean idol emphasized that he had repeatedly denied the rumors but he felt disturbed because the rumors continued to be discussed. "I've said it before. I said, 'No, that's not true (about dating)' over and over again, but for some reason there are photos of golf courses," he continued.
Leeteuk then explained about the photos circulating that he not only went alone with the woman he was rumored to be dating but also with Shindong, a member of Super Junior as well. "But, what confused me when I saw the photo was, Shindong was next to me.
And next to him again, there was his friend Shindong. But, for some reason, I don't know how they did it, but I was quite surprised when I saw it," explained Leeteuk. Because he was confused, he had asked Shindong directly about the news and became annoyed because of it.
"I showed the photo to Shindong, 'Shindong-ah, what is this?'. He said, 'Hyung, this must be really annoying'," he explained. Leeteuk also emphasized that the photo did not match reality. Furthermore, he accused someone who deliberately edited a photo to form a public opinion.
"When Shindong and I finished with the show in Seowon Valley, usually there is an association of celebrity crews formed. So I often go to Seowon Valley. I don't know who took the photo and uploaded it. I don't know," he explained.
"But they edited it very badly, as if we just went alone. I have a lot of golfers who are very close to me, yes. There are so many athletes and we are very close," concluded Leeteuk. Earlier, on August 31, exposure caught Super Junior's Leeteuk having dinner with a woman at a restaurant on a golf course.
According to KoreaBoo, the woman is most likely Jang So-hee, the talented golfer who won the 14th Grand Slam Jump Tour KLPGA by 2024. She is 18 years younger than Leeteuk is reportedly one of only 82 people he took on Instagram. Fans praised his beauty, comparing it to a beauty pageant queen.
