Former BIGBANG member, T.O.P, is reportedly returning to music by releasing a full album in the fourth quarter of 2025. This will be the rapper 's comeback to the music industry after a long hiatus. 

According to a report by The Korea Herald, T.O.P's return to the music industry has been confirmed by a number of sources. T.O.P himself last released music through a song entitled Doom Dada, which was released 12 years ago when he was still active as a member of BIGBANG and under the auspices of YG Entertainment.

The owner of the real name Cho Seung Hyun is now known to be more active as an actor, where his appearance in the popular series Squid Game has stolen the public's attention. He was then reported to be collaborating with one of the series' creative teams to work on a music video for this comeback project.

"T.O.P's studio album is planned to be released soon, or after October 2025," said a source in the South Korean music industry, quoted Tuesday September 30, 2025. The source also said that the recording process for T.O.P's new song has been completed and now the shooting schedule for the music video remains.

Not just one music video, T.O.P is reportedly going to release several music videos for his new songs with the help of Chae Kyoung Sun, the art director for Squid Game who has won the Arts Directors Guild Awards in 2022 and 2025.

The former BIGBANG member has been hinting at a comeback since last year, when he was promoting Squid Game. Currently, it's unknown which agency is behind T,O,P and is helping release the rapper's latest album. But what is clear is that T.O.P's return to the music industry has been eagerly awaited by many fans.
