Song Kang Completes Military Service and Will Make Comeback with Musical Drama 'Four Hands'

South Korean actor Song Kang has officially completed his mandatory military service. On Wednesday October 1, 2025, the star of the Korean drama "My Demon" completed his 18-month service and was officially discharged from the military. 

Song Kang enlisted as an active-duty soldier in April 2024. During his service, he appeared in a promotional video for Defense Help Call, a counseling service run by the Korean Ministry of National Defense. The video showcases Song Kang's mature and dignified side. 

The actor also made headlines when photos of him with BTS's V during his military service circulated. Since his debut in 2017 with the tvN drama *The Liar and His Lover*, Song Kang has starred in various popular series such as *Man in the Kitchen* and *When the Devil Calls Your Name*. 

His fame skyrocketed thanks to the drama *Love Alarm*, and then went on to international fame through *Sweet Home*, *Nevertheless*, *Forecasting Love and Weather*, and *My Demon*. 

While still serving in the military, he continued to appear in acting, appearing in special appearances in Sweet Home 3 and the film Escape. Now, after officially completing his military service, Song Kang has become a sought-after actor for many producers.

According to reports from SPOTV News and Soompi, Song Kang is in talks to star in the musical drama "Four Hands." His agency, Namoo Actors, confirmed that the drama is indeed one of the offers he is considering.

The drama "Four Hands" itself is set in an arts school and tells the story of friendship, love, rivalry, and the journey of growing up of its students. The title "Four Hands" refers to a musical instrument played by two people simultaneously. Song Kang was offered the role of a pianist with above-average skills.

If Song Kang agrees to star in Four Hands, the drama will mark his comeback after completing his military service. Further details about the drama have yet to be revealed, but public anticipation is already high for the actor, nicknamed the "Son of Netflix," to return to the small screen.
