Song Kang will officially be discharged from his mandatory military service today, October 1, 2025. The actor, who enlisted as an active-duty soldier on April 2, 2024, completed his service and is now ready to return to his fans and his acting career.
During his time in the military, Song Kang stayed connected with fans as a host for the Defense Media Agency’s YouTube channel. All eyes are now on what his comeback project will be. It’s been reported that he has already received an offer to star in a new drama,
Four Hands (literal title), and is currently reviewing the role. The series is described as a coming-of-age story set at a prestigious arts high school, exploring the friendships, love and rivalries of its talented students.
Song Kang debuted in 2017 and quickly rose to international fame through a string of hit Netflix series, including Love Alarm and Sweet Home. He is also known for his leading roles in popular dramas like Nevertheless and My Demon.
