Make your Christmas even more festive this year with entertainment from Jungkook. The BTS member released a special cover song for the holiday season for ARMYs celebrating. Jungkook's cover of the song is called "The Christmas Song."
This song has a long history of recording and release. The first recording was made in 1946 in New York. Nat King Cole was listed as the vocalist and piano player on this song written by Robert Wells and Mel Tormé. The first recording wasn't intended to be released.
But in 1989, the song accidentally made it onto Billboard's Greatest Christmas Hits (1935-1954) album. The second and third recordings were made in 1946 and 1953 respectively. The recordings were released on separate albums.
Finally, Nat King Cole recorded The Christmas Song for the fourth time on March 30, 1961. This version was released the following year. BTS' Jungkook covered Johnny Stimson's version of "The Christmas Song." The American singer-songwriter released his cover in 2020.
Jungkook's version of The Christmas Song was released on SoundCloud and BANGTANTV's official YouTube channel. It features a visualizer of Seoul's aerial views and Namsan Tower. This isn't Jungkook's first cover project in his BTS career.
Over the years, he's consistently performed renditions of popular songs, including Harry Styles' "Falling," IU's "Ending Scene," and Roy Kim's "Only Then." This cover of The Christmas Song also marks a special end to the year. BTS will make a full comeback before 2026, with plans for a world tour.
