HYBE officially announced the establishment of a new label called ABD on Friday (May 8, 2026). This label is projected to be a specialist agency focused on producing and developing girl groups.

The name ABD is an abbreviation of their brand slogan, "A Bold Dream." Philosophically, this name represents the flexible and playful creativity of envisioning "D" rather than following the linear path of "A, B, then C."

The label's operations will be led by CEO Noh Ji Won, who previously served as Head of Artist Planning at Pledis Entertainment. In its official statement, HYBE explained that the formation of ABD is part of the Multi-Label strategy to strengthen professionalism and autonomy in each business unit.

"ABD was founded with a focus on the organization and creation team that specializes in producing girl groups. We plan to position this label as a pioneer of distinctive IP (Intellectual Property) in the global market," HYBE's official statement read.

ABD is scheduled to debut their first girl group in the second half of this year. This project is attracting significant attention due to the involvement of Han Sung Soo as a Master Professional (MP), who will oversee the entire music production, concept, and performance.

Han Sung Soo is known as the cool hand behind the success of big groups like SEVENTEEN, After School, IZ*ONE, and TWS. Through ABD, HYBE aims to broaden the horizons of K-Pop with a deeper understanding of fans and artists.

This move is seen as a strategic effort to secure IP diversity and enhance music production capabilities globally. "Through this new girl group, we will offer fresh musical experiments and concepts, and bring new changes to the international music market," concluded the HYBE representative.
