At a mall event, his popularity even caused glass to shatter. Zhang Linghe is known as one of China's most popular actors. The 28-year-old was recently scheduled to attend an event for the eyewear brand MOLSION in Nanning, Vientiane, Guangxi, China.
Unfortunately, the event, which was supposed to bring Zhang and fans together, was canceled. According to Kbizoom, the overwhelming number of fans eager to see Zhang Linghe exceeded expectations.
Some even queued overnight in hopes of getting a closer look at the "Love Between Fairy and Devil" actress. When the mall opened, the euphoria of the crowd became so intense that the glass entrance doors shattered under the pressure.
The incident reportedly left five people with minor injuries and forced organizers to cancel the event at the last minute due to safety concerns. The incident undoubtedly disappointed fans, especially those who had traveled from other cities.
Fortunately, Zhang's studio quickly intervened, earning the actor praise. On the same day, Zhang's team announced that fans traveling from out of town would be eligible for reimbursement.
The compensation reportedly covers hotel stays in Nanning between May 30 and 31, as well as cancellations or changes to air, high-speed rail, train, or long-distance bus tickets issued between May 30 and June 1, 2026.
Even local transportation costs within Nanning, including taxis, buses, and MRT trips, can be reimbursed, provided fans can provide proof. While no official figures have been released, external estimates suggest the total payment could reach hundreds of millions of rupiah.
In a statement, Zhang Linghe's team emphasized that safety is always a top priority. The agency acknowledged that this was Zhang's first official business trip to Nanning and appreciated the efforts of many fans in attending.
"Every time we meet, we can truly feel your enthusiasm and sincerity. We share your heartache and regret for coming with high hopes but leaving disappointed," the agency wrote.
