POCO has sold more than one million units of the M2 smartphone in India since its launch in September last year. Earlier this week, the POCO C3 had achieved this milestone. The company claims it is currently the third-largest online smartphone brand.
POCO M2 sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and Corning Gorilla Glass layer. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card slot.
It runs on Android 10-based MIUI 12 custom skin on top. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, IR Blaster, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. It has P2i coating for splash resistance.
As for the cameras, the POCO M2 features a quad-camera setup at the back with a 13MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support fuels the phone.
The POCO M2 was launched at a price of Rs 10,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and goes all the way up to Rs 12,499 for the same amount of RAM and higher 128GB storage.
The smartphone is currently selling on Flipkart at a slightly lower price tag of Rs 9999 for the base model and Rs 10,999 for the high-end variant (even cheaper if you have an ICICI bank card).
