Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition has been launched in China with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and 64-MP triple rear camera setup. It is the first gaming smartphone under the Redmi branding from the company.
Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition comes with a 6.67-inches OLED full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, DCI-P3 colour gamut and a top centred positioned punch-hole cutout.
The smartphone runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. The gaming handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM + 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of camera, It is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel (primary) sensor with an f/1.65 aperture + 8-megapixel sensor (ultrawide) sensor + 2-megapixel (macro) sensor. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
The gaming device is fueled by a 5,065mAh battery with the support of 67W fast charging. In terms of connectivity, It has Wi-Fi, 5G, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging. It comes in Black, Silver, White, and a Bruce Lee Special Edition.
The sensor on board includes an ultrasonic distance sensor, 360° ambient light sensor, acceleration sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, X-axis linear motor, infrared remote control and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Other feature includes LiquidCool technology with white graphene, IP53 dust and water resistance, Dolby Atmos support and audio tuned by JBL, retractable shoulder buttons, three microphones, and more. The handset measures 161.9 x 76.9 x 8.3 mm and weighs 205g.
The base variant of the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition is priced at ¥1999 (around Rs.) for 6GB + 128GB storage, the 8GB + 128GB storage variant carries a price tag of ¥2199 (around Rs).
The 8GB + 256GB storage variant costs ¥2399 (around Rs.), the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at ¥2399 (around Rs.) and lastly, the high-end variant is priced at ¥2699 (around Rs.) for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.
There is also a Bruce Lee Special Edition (12GB + 256GB storage) that carries a price tag of ¥2799 (around Rs.). The Redmi gaming smartphone is currently up for pre-order the first sale is scheduled to be held on April 30 at 10 AM.
