Poco has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market, called the Poco M3 Pro which is the Poco’s first 5G device. It comes with MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, a cheaper SoC designed for 5G connectivity in budget phones. The handset is the successor to the Poco M3 that was launched in India. Poco M3 Pro 5G has a 90Hz display. Furthermore, the device comes with Android based MIUI 12 OS.

Poco M3 Pro 5G offers a 6.5-inch full-HD+ hole punch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It carries a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, it has an octa-core MediaTek Dimenstiy 700 chipset clocked at two ARM Cortex A76 along with Mali G57 GPU. The handset brings up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The storage capacity is further expandable via a microSD card.

The Poco M3 Pro 5G  sports a triple rear camera setup that houses a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera, embedded in a punch-hole cutout. The smartphone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as AI face unlock. The handset runs on Android 11 based MIUI 12 OS.

The Poco M3 Pro 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology. The sensors are Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Electronic compass and IR blaster. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. 

As for the pricing and availability, the Poco M3 Pro 5G has been priced in India at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model and the 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage model costs Rs. 15,999. You can purchase this device in Cool Blue, Power Black, and Poco Yellow. The handset will go on sale starting June 14 at 12 noon via Flipkart.
