Sony’s WF-C500 true wireless (TWS) earbuds were launched last year in 2021 in several markets such as the 
Australia, US, and the UK. Now, the earphones have finally arrived in India. The Sony WF-C500 earbuds come at an affordable price and offer good quality sound, splash resistance, voice control, enhanced battery life, and more.

The Sony WF-C500 TWS earphones come with 5.8mm drivers that have a frequency response range of 20Hz–20,000Hz. The earbuds are equipped with the company’s proprietary Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), which promises to deliver enhanced audio and call quality. Its Fast Pair feature lets you pair to your Android devices without any fuss, while the Swift Pair allows you to pair the earphones to your computer. 

The Sony WF-C500 TWS come with a Bluetooth 5.0 chip and improved antenna design, which ensures connection stability and low latency. According to Sony, the built-in omnidirectional mic ensures clear voice quality during calls. It supports SBC and AAC codec for audio playback. The earbuds come with a splash-proof and sweat-proof design. You can access Google Assistant and perform certain functions like play, pause, stop, next track conveniently through the easy operation buttons. 

The Sony WF-C500 TWS come with a cylindrical charging case that takes the total battery life to 20 hours. The earbuds can last for up to 10 hours independently. A quick charge of 10 minutes promises up to an hour of music playback. It takes up to 3 hours to charge it fully. The lack of ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) remains the major sore point at this price point. You can use it in a single earbud mode as well.

As for pricing and availability, the Sony WF-C500 TWS is priced at ₹5,990 in India, which is a bit cheaper than its $100 (around ₹7,400) in the US. The earphones will be available for purchase via major online portals, offline stores, and Sony’s retail stores across the country from January 16. It comes in black, white, orange and green flavours.
