South Korean tech giant, Samsung has announced three new devices in the Galaxy A series line-up, namely the A33, A53, and A73. The Galaxy A33 starts at $408 (nearly Rs. 31,000) and it will go on sale in several countries from April 22, alongside the A73 whose prices are yet to be announced. The Galaxy A53 starts at $449 (around Rs. 34,000) and it will be available from April 1.

Samsung's latest Galaxy A series handsets, called the A33, A53, and A73 are aimed at buyers looking for mid-tier smartphones with new-age features like a high refresh rate screen, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and multiple cameras. The Galaxy A33, A53, and A73 largely share the same design but differ in terms of display size, chipset and cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy A33 has a 90Hz, 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display, while the A53 and A73 have a 6.5-inch and 6.7-inch Full-HD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A33, A53, and A73 have a punch-hole cut-out in the top-center along with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint reader. The smartphones also boast IP67 dust and water resistance, and offer Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Samsung Galaxy A33 and A53 are fueled by an octa-core Exynos 1280 processor , while the Galaxy A73 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G processor. On the front software, the smartphones run on Android 12-based Samsung One UI 4.1, and come in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations with up to 1TB of expandable storage. All the three devices pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy A33 has a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, it gets a 13MP camera on the front. The Galaxy A53 and A73 pack a 64MP and 108MP primary camera, respectively, along with 12MP ultra-wide shooter and two 5MP cameras for capturing depth and macro shots. Up front, they have a 32MP camera.
