Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi has launched its latest Xiaomi 12 series at the global market. The brand flagship smartphone series that was introduced in China last December now enters the global market. As far as specs are concerned the specification sheet, all three Xiaomi 12 smartphones carry a few similar aspects like a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, MIUI 13 based Android 12 OS out of the box. 

In terms of display, Xiaomi 12 and 12X gets a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixel resolution. While the Xiaomi 12 Pro features a slightly tall 6.73-inch WQHD+ E5 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, and LTPO backplane technology. As for internals, the 12 and 12 Pro gets the premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Meanwhile, Xiaomi 12X ships with a Snapdragon 870 chipset.

On the camera front, Xiaomi 12 and 12X offer a triple camera system having a 50-megapixel SONY IMX766 primary sensor, 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. Xiaomi 12 Pro gets a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel portrait sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. 

As for battery backup, the vanilla, and 12X model bags a 4,500mAh battery with a 67W fast charging solution, while the 12 Pro ships with a 4,600mAh battery and 120W fast charging support. The Pro model also has 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support. Connectivity options include- 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR), and a USB-C port, and Harman Kardon tuned speakers.

The vanilla model Xiaomi 12 price starts at $ 749 (around Rs 57,200) for the 8GB/128GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the premium Xiaomi 12 Pro costs $999 (around Rs 76,300) for the 8GB/256GB storage version. The cheaper model from the series, Xiaomi 12X comes with a price tag of $649 (around Rs 49,600) for the standard model with 8GB/128GB storage. The new lineup will be available in three shades- Blue, Grey, and Purple colour options.
