On Monday August, 15, 2922, Soompi reported that the Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month's brand reputation rankings for K-Pop girl groups! The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various girl groups, using big data collected from July 14, 2022 to August 14, 2022.
Ahead of their comeback , BLACKPINK managed to top the girl group brand reputation rankings for the month of August with a total index of 6,372,130. High-ranking phrases in BLACKPINK's keyword analysis included “world tour,” “YouTube,” and “teaser,” while the group’s highest-ranking related terms included “making a comeback,” and “release.” Their positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 85.08 percent positive reactions.
This is not surprising because the public is very enthusiastic about BLACKPINK's comeback. The group's pre-release single "PINK VENOM" will be released on August 19, 2022 at 12AM (EST) & 1PM KST this coming. Then, their new album "BORN PINK" will be released in September. The album has already reached 100,000 pre-orders on Ktown4u.
This is BLACKPINK's first full-length album comeback since "The Album" was released in October 2020. After releasing the album "BORN PINK" BLACKPINK will hold a world tour starting in Seoul on October 15-16, 2022. Director of the Korean Business Research Institute Koo Chang-hwan commented, "The analysis results indeed show BLACKPINK ranking first in girl group brand reputation in August 2022.
In the positivity-negativity ratio analysis for brands, BLACKPINK achieved a positive ratio of 85.08%." Meanwhile, Girls' Generation this month rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 4,693,611, marking an 84.01 percent increase in their score since last month.
