Who already misses the action of McQueen and Mater? Finally, after his last appearance in the film Cars 3 in 2017, now the two friends will again entertain fans. Cars itself initially focused on telling stories about McQueen's journey, who got lost in the middle of a hood called Radiator Springs. There he experienced many new things and finally found a close friend named Mater. Through his latest series entitled Cars On The Road , the story of the two friends will continue to be more exciting. The story in this series will certainly be much different from the film version.
Through the latest trailer uploaded on Pixar's YouTube channel, the first scene depicts Mcqueen and Mater competing for speed. The story begins with Mater's desire to meet his sister who is getting married. McQueen is also interested in accompanying Mater for a road trip. They left Radiator Springs and headed east by land to meet Mater's sister.
Quoting director Stevere Purcell's statement on Disney's official website he said, "This series is a cross-country romp for McQuenn and Mater. Like any road trip , every day is a new mini-adventure for the two friends, facing various twists and turns of the road. something unexpected". They will meet up with old friends and start a new journey that is very exciting and epic that has never been experienced before.
The trailer shows a scene when McQueen and Mater are being chased by a large two-wheeled vehicle shaped like a dinosaur. Unmitigated, in this series Disney Pixar presents 9 episodes of challenging adventures from the two friends. This series is produced by Marc Sondheimer and each episode is directed by a different director.
Directors Steve Purcel (episode 1, 2, and 8), Bobby Podesta on (episodes 5, 6, and 9), and Brian Fee on (episodes 3,4, and 7). The voices for the characters in this series will again be filled by Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy who provides the voice of Mater. Cars On The Road will premiere on September 8, 2022 exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service.
