In recent years BTS has become very popular not only among local K-Pop fans, but also worldwide. Everything related to BTS has become popular and the target of many people, because of that, whatever items they sell are also always sold out. With BTS' influence, be it albums, tour tickets, collectibles or even the clothes they just wore, everything sells out in a matter of minutes.
It also apparently happened at a BTS pop-up store that opened at Toronto Eaton Center, Canada . Recently, a story from the shop was revealed and spread rapidly. Launching Koreaboo, since it opened, the store that sells various BTS merchandise and all of their collaboration products is always packed with lines, many even camping for hours in front of the store to ensure they have the first chance to buy BTS merchandise.
After looking at the number of items that are quite complete and large, it makes sense to see hundreds of ARMYs lining up to get the items they want. However, less than two weeks after the store opened, it was recently announced that the location would be temporarily closed. Through its Instagram account, the pop-up store explained that after opening in just a few weeks, all of their products had sold out.
They also added that the global situation made it nearly impossible for them to keep stores open while meeting fan demands. From different perspectives, this news can be interpreted as sad, amazing, and funny news. This news is sad because a lot of fans haven't gotten the merchandise they wanted, it's amazing how fast the products sell out, and it's funny how some ARMYs responded to this news so hilariously.
Here are funny comments from ARMY after knowing this news. "Who said ARMYs don't have money?" "We Canadian ARMYs took all the BTS stuff we could get our hands on because we knew they would never come to Canada." "Shopping like groceries~" "I feel like if they (ARMYs) could buy the shop, they would."
"Is Canada a crisis-free economy?" "This is the reason ARMYs always queue up early to get merchandise. Buy it at the store or buy a concert." Hopefully the store will restock soon and Canadian ARMYs can go and get the rest of their merchandise, OK! What do you think about BTS' pop-up store having to close even before two weeks of opening?
