On September 14, 2022 Soompi reported that Choi Siwon and Lee Da Hee recently attended the first script reading of the drama titled Icy Cold Romance. The script for the drama "Icy Cold Romance" was written by writer Kim Sol Ji. He has previously written scripts for hit dramas from “Heading to the Ground,” to “Syndrome and will be directed by PD Choi Gyu Shik who directed “Rude Miss Young Ae,” and “Let's Eat.”
The drama "Icy Cold Romance" tells the story of the romance between Goo Yeo Reum and Park Jae Hoon. Before becoming a couple, the two of them had been best friends for 20 years. Lee Da Hee will be taking on the role of Goo Yeo Reum, a beautiful variety show PD. While doing the script reading, Lee Da Hee looks ready to do emotional acting.
Meanwhile, Choi Siwon will play the character Park Jae Hoon. He is a plastic surgeon, but he is not good at interacting with people and is often aloof. Goo Yeo Reum is the only friend he has. Jo Soo Hyang will play Goo Yeo Reum's college classmate named Kang Chae Ri. Then Park Yeon Woo will play John Jang, a handsome chef who has feelings for Goo Yeo Reum.
Im Ha Ryong and Yang Hee Kyung will play Goo Yong Shik and Yoon Young Hee, Goo Yeo Reum's parents who are very supportive and reliable. Then AB6IX's Lee Daehwi will also play Kim Sang Woo, Goo Yeo Reum's assistant PD and confidant. Lastly, Min Jin Woong and Noh Susanna will play a married couple, Park Dae Shik and Oh Hye Jin.
The two of them are high school friends Goo Yeo Reum and Park Jae Hoon. The producers of the drama “Icy Cold Romance” commented, “The synergy between the actors created perfect acting chemistry.
