Jung Hae In confirmed the latest Korean drama project after previously being successful through DP and Snowdrop. The South Korean actor will collaborate with a Japanese director who previously worked on the film 13 Assassins. Jung Hae In will be starring in the TV series titled Connect.
This Korean drama tells the story of a man who lost half his sight after being kidnapped by a group of organ thieves. He will star as Ha Dong Soo, the main character who is full of secrets. Throughout his life, he had the ability to heal himself very quickly no matter how fatal the wound. Even though he has extraordinary abilities, many think of Dong Soo as a monster.
He is forced to live a life full of solitude amidst the noise of the city until one day a group of organ thieves kidnaps Dong Soo and takes his eye. After waking up on the operating table, Dong Soo manages to escape. But after that incident, Dong Soo realized his eyes were now being used by a serial killer who was haunting the residents of Seoul.
Determined to take back his eye, Dong Soo goes after the serial killer and does whatever it takes to make himself whole again. The series will be directed by Japanese director Miike Takashi, who previously had success through 13 Assassins, Ichi the Killer, and Gozu. While the script will be written by Japanese and Korean writers, Nakamura Masaru and Heo Dam.
Besides Jung Hae In , this Korean drama also stars Go Kyung Pyo, who will star as a serial killer named Oh Jin Seop, and Kim Hye Jun, who will star as Irang, a mysterious woman. Connect will be live on Disney+ Hotstar. However, it is still unknown when this series will be able to start watching.
