Lightyear is a film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios . The film is directed by American director Angus Maclane. Lightyear is the story of the iconic Toy Story character, Buzz Lightyear , about his journey through space as a Space Ranger. Buzz Lightyear is a space explorer who has a mission to find a habitable planet that can be inhabited by humans.
Carrying a hibernating human colony aboard an aircraft carrier, Buzz Lightyear roams across outer space until he finally lands on T'Kani Prime. Awakening from a long slumber, Buzz Lightyear begins a mission to explore the planet with his best friend Alisha Hawthrone and a Featheringhamstan rookie.
Initially the exploration mission went smoothly. The planet has a climate and air suitable for humans to live in. However, while on a mission, T'Kani Prime's resident creatures attack them. These creatures can be a problem and a threat, if humans make a colony there. Buzz Lightyear and his team decided to withdraw from the mission and take the carrier out of T'Kani Prime.
While trying to get out of T'Kani Prime, the creature attacks again and ends up destroying the carrier. The mission to retreat failed, and the carrier was damaged. Finally, all of the hibernating humans woke up from their long slumber. They decided to stay on the planet until they found a way to get out of the planet.
Feeling responsible, Buzz Lightyear strives to find a way to get humanity off the planet. Can Buzz Lightyear carry out his mission? This 1 hour 40 minute film tells the adventures of Buzz Lightyear in carrying out his exciting and tense mission. The sensation of outer space that is wild and full of mystery will make the audience fascinated and immersed in it.
