BigHit Music announced that one of the (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) or TXT members tested positive for COVID-19. Soobin was reported to have been exposed to the Corona virus and experienced mild symptoms. This was conveyed directly by BigHit Music through a statement released via Weverse.
Soobin is said to have had symptoms of cough and sore throat before testing positive for COVID-19, on March 12, 2022. "Soobin experienced flu-like symptoms and tested positive for COVID-19 when undergoing a rapid antigen test on March 10, 2022. He then underwent a PCR test on March 11, 2022 and was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Saturday March 12, 2022 morning," said BigHit Music.
"Soobin has symptoms of cough and sore throat. He has undergone independent quarantine, away from other TXT members after undergoing a rapid test. He is currently being treated at home," he continued. BigHit Music also explained that all TXT members apart from Soobin tested negative during the PCR test. Even so, in the future they will monitor each other's health.
"Apart from Soobin, other TXT members such as Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai tested negative for COVID-19 through a PCR test conducted on Friday March 11, 2022," explained BigHit Music. "Even so, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai, as well as Yeonjung who have been declared cured of COVID-19,
will undergo health protocols according to the recommendations of the medical authorities and monitor their respective health because there is absolutely no close contact with the members," he added. At the end of the statement, BigHit Music promised to make every effort to help Soobin recover. They also promised to prioritize the safety and health of the artists.
