The latest South Korean drama produced by Netflix titled ' Black Knight ' has announced the broadcast date. Quoting from Soompi on Wednesday March 29, 2023, 'Black Knight' is a drama that takes place in 2071, when pollution becomes so extreme and dangerous, that people cannot survive without breathing apparatus.
This drama tells the story of a delivery boy 5-8 who then meets a refugee named Sa Wol. Sa Wol dreams of becoming a 5-8 delivery boy, as they are the refugees' only hope. This drama also tells about the struggle against the Chun Myung Group, an organization that has the ambition to rule the world through its cruelty.
Kim Woo Bin will take on the role of an unrivaled 5-8 delivery boy. Meanwhile, Song Seung Heon will take on the role of an evil character named Ryu Seok, the only son of the president of Chun Myung Group, Ryu Hae Jin. Kang Yu Seok will play a refugee character named Sa Wol, who feels jealous of the role of delivery boy 5-8. He was determined to become a delivery man as his big goal.
Esom will play the character Seol Ah, a military intelligence major who looks after Sa Wol like her own family. From the latest poster that the production team just shared, the legendary deliveryman 5-8 appears to be leaving a vehicle with a box in his hand. The box has the logo of Chun Myung group. A piece of text in the poster gives an idea of what is in the box.
"Oxygen is now ready to be delivered," the poster reads. As South Korea is currently experiencing a desertification status, the remaining one percent of humanity is stratified, and freight forwarders play an important role in society. Against the backdrop of a desolate world covered in sand and dust, the delivery knight must risk his own life to save his country.
Ahead of the release of this new drama, Kim Woo Bin said, "The process of producing this drama was very enjoyable for me. I hope that this drama, which we are working on with all our might, will be well received. I hope you will enjoy it." Meanwhile, 'Black Knight' is planned to be premiered on May 12, 2023, on Netflix.
