The MC couple of SBS weekly music program ' Inkigayo ', Noh Jung Ui and Seo Bum June announced that they are stepping down from their positions. Quoting from Soompi on Tuesday March 21, 2023, according to reports from media outlet Star News , Noh Jung Ui and Seo Bum June will step down from their positions as MCs of the SBS weekly music program 'Inkigayo'.
Meanwhile, TXT's Yeonjun will continue his role as MC. However, he will also be on hiatus for the next 2 months to join the group's world tour concerts. Noh Jung Ui and Seo Bum June confirmed the news by uploading letters to fans on their personal Instagram accounts. Noh Jung Ui expressed his sadness at leaving as MC Inkigayo.
He also thanked the other 2 fellow MCs who had accompanied him as hosts. "Until the day that Jjunijjun (short name for Yeonjun , Noh Jung Ui, and Seo Bum June) meet again, we will work hard to keep shining on our own paths. If music programs ask us to come back, then we will come while running," said Noh Jung Ui.
He continued, "Thank you to Bum June and Yeonjun who I have considered as my older brothers. Thanks to you, every Sunday has become a joyful and healing day for me." Similar to Noh Jung Ui, Seo Bum June also uploaded a farewell letter for fans. Seo Bum June expressed his excitement to be a part of Jjunijjun, and thanked everyone who has supported the three of them. "Jung Ui and I will send our farewells on April 2.
Jjunijjun will always be together in our hearts. Because this is not the last day of separation, I want to write a good farewell," wrote Seo Bum June. "To Yeonjun, come back in good health after your world tour concert is over. For Yeonjun and Jung Hui, who I have considered as my own brothers, I thank you, and I love you," concluded Seo Bum June.
Not wanting to be left behind by his two colleagues, Yeonjun also uploaded a number of behind-the-scenes photos with Noh Jung Ui and Seo Bum June on the TXT Twitter account, with a caption that reads 'I Love You'. Meanwhile, TXT's Yeonjun, Noh Jung Ui, and Seo Bum June began hosting the SBS program 'Inkigayo' in April 2022.
