Park Seo Joon and IU met in the latest Korean film Dream. After three years of waiting for fans, the production team Dream finally announced the broadcast date. The film Dream was worked on by director Lee Byung Hun, who was behind the success of Extreme Job and Melo is My Nature. Park Seo Joon and IU are known to have started filming since May 2020.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the filming of Dream in Hungary. The main player, Park Seo Joon, was also exposed to the corona virus. Filming for the film Dream has finally finished in April 2022. Now the production team reports that the film Dream will be showing in theaters on April 26, 2023.
Synopsis Dream follows the story of soccer player Yoon Hong Dae (played by Park Seo Joon) who gets involved in an unexpected incident. He received a suspended disciplinary sentence and was appointed coach of a special national soccer team made up of homeless people. With Yoon Hong Dae's direction, the soccer team will compete in the Homeless World Cup. Lee So Min (played by IU) was present as the director who worked on the team's preparatory documentary.
Film Dream marks the first time Park Seo Joon and IU have teamed up in a project. In an interview, the two complimented each other's appearance. "From the beginning to the end of filming, IU and I exchanged a lot of lines in the film and I was able to enjoy filming because of him," said Park Seo Joon as quoted by Soompi.
"I was able to concentrate well on the way Park Seo Joon acted while maintaining good energy without fluctuations until the end. And I was impressed by the way he took any direction from the director flexibly and quickly," added IU. Apart from Park Seo Joon and IU, the film Dream also stars Lee Hyun Woo, who is known for his roles in the Korean dramas Money Heist Korea and The Liar and His Lover.
