Nakamoto Yuta aka NCT's Yuta will soon return to show his other acting skills in his first Japanese drama entitled Play It Cool, Guys or Cool Doji Danshi. Play It Cool, Guys is a live-action drama adapted from the popular manga of the same name by Kokone Nata. Previously, this work was also made in animated form in October 2022.
Play It Cool, Guys tells the story of the meeting of four cool boys with different ages and personalities who have one thing in common, which is awkwardness. Not only are they awkward, they also have complexes, anxiety about the future, burnout from work, and a desire to be acknowledged.
This drama depicts the everyday lives of boys who work hard to support each other and gradually develop friendships while dealing with the problems they experience. In the drama, Yuta is entrusted with playing the character Hayate Ichikura, a student who has no personality and is worried about the future.
She was a figure that looked cold on the outside, but inside she felt like fainting from embarrassment. Apart from Yuta NCT, Play It Cool, Guys will also be starred by three other main actors, which include Mayito Fujioka, Dori Sakurada, and Takumi Kawanishi JO1. Mayito Fujioka stars as Shun Futami, a handsome high school student who is good at curbing his lust for anything, but is quite clumsy.
Then, Dori Sakurada takes on the role of Takayuki Mima, a serious office worker who doesn't even notice her mistakes. On the other hand, Takumi Kawanishi JO1 will appear as Soma Shiki, a vocational student who laughs at himself when he messes up. Meanwhile, the drama Play It Cool, Guys is scheduled to begin its premiere on April 14, 2023.
