A woman from Hong Kong was arrested after being caught selling counterfeit BLACKPINK concert tickets. Unfortunately, a number of BLACKPINK fans from Hong Kong were tricked by fake concert ticket sellers. The perpetrator was a 20-year-old woman who took advantage of the situation by selling 15 tickets online. A victim suffered a loss of HK$4900 HKD or around IDR 9.5 million after buying a fake BLACKPINK concert ticket. When entering the ArenaWorld-Arena venue, the ticket cannot be used.
Meanwhile, another victim met with the perpetrator to buy four tickets to the BLACKPINK concert on January 14, 2023. However, he became suspicious after realizing that the serial numbers on all four tickets were exactly the same. The woman who sold fake BLACKPINK concert tickets admitted that she only sold her friend's tickets. But the careful buyer immediately called the police. The perpetrator was arrested at the scene.
When she was first questioned by the police, the 20-year-old woman gave the same statement. He admitted that he got a cell phone from a friend to meet a BLACKPINK concert ticket buyer. The phone held a number of fake BLACKPINK concert tickets that it was trying to sell. During the second interrogation with the police, Xu Manjie finally came clean. The woman apparently watched BLACKPINK's concert on the first day then edited the ticket and sold copies online.

However, the 20-year-old woman decided not to continue studying in order to help her mother make a living. She started working as a waitress in Hong Kong. Half of his salary goes to his mother, while the other half goes to pay for his younger brother's schooling.
In an official letter, the fake BLACKPINK concert ticket seller admits to regretting what he did and promised not to repeat it. "I wanted to take the burden off my mother's shoulders, but what I did was really wrong," he said as quoted by Koreaboo. In the end, the seller of fake BLACKPINK concert tickets received four counts of fraud and one count of attempted fraud. Xu Manjie will be detained until March 28, 2023 until sentencing.
