The members of Red Velvet recently embarked on their second world tour titled "R to V", with their latest show held in Singapore on April 21, 2023. This tour aims to showcase Red Velvet's various charms, including their outstanding ability that showcases the most unique concept in K-Pop. They provided fans with a gradual move from their upbeat "Red" to the slower beat "Velvet".
However, busy touring schedules are known to cause idols to experience health-related difficulties, which is often cause for concern. Launching from Koreaboo, initially, the "R to V" concert in Singapore went perfectly, with five members of Red Velvet performing hits such as "Feel My Rhythm" and "Queendom", but moments later after the VCR break, fans realized that they were wrong.
One Red Velvet member named Joy did not appear on stage with the other girls. Of course, this made the fans ask questions and worry. When it came time for Red Velvet to perform their fan favorite b-side "Just", the stage featured just the four members singing into their microphones.
Realizing everyone was worried, after the performance, English-speaking Red Velvet member Wendy told fans why Joy was absent from their performance. Wendy clarified that Joy was "not feeling well" and she would not be performing for the remainder of the concert. Hearing this sad news, the fans who were present at the venue cheered loudly and said that they understood this.
Wendy then added that Joy was sad she couldn't perform with the other members, but she will make sure to return to Singapore next time with an even better performance. Meanwhile, the news soon reached Red Velvet's other fans, who eagerly followed the idol's concert on SNS.
ReVeluvs (fan name of Red Velvet), made sure to show Joy as much support as possible, after knowing that she would be disappointed not to be able to finish the show. Fans are also concerned about the idol's health. Many fans who use Twitter are trying to make the hashtag #GetWellSoonJoy dominate the trend and they also hope that Joy will feel better soon.
