GOT7's Jinyoung finally left for military service today, Monday May 8, 2023. Previously, BH Entertainment as Jinyoung's agency revealed that the departure of his artist's mandatory military service would not be highlighted by the media to avoid crowds and for mutual convenience.
"Actor Park Jinyoung is carrying out his mandatory military service today. We ask for your support and enthusiasm so that he can better greet his fans again," said BH Entertainment via its official Instagram account. In addition, the company also asked fans not to visit the location of the military enlistment ceremony.
One GOT7 member, BamBam, also shared a touching message for Jinyoung through his personal Twitter account. "Jinyoung, I wish you a healthy military service. I'm not sure whether you will see this tweet, but we GOT7 and Ahgase (short for GOT7's fanclub name) will wait patiently for JJ Project (duo group consisting of JAY B and Jinyoung) ,” wrote BamBam.
Before entering military service, Jinyoung uploaded a photo of himself on Instagram. In the photo, he appears to be wearing a hat with his hair cut short. The post received thousands of comments. Not only from fans, GOT7 members Yugyeom and BamBam also gave comments. Yugyeom put a heart emoticon, while BamBam wrote, "Come back safely! I'll be waiting."
The parting words from Jinyoung's fans were no less touching. Lots of warm messages shared by fans. " Come back safe and sound Jinyoung, we will be waiting for you, " wrote one fan.
