Choi Min Ki or better known by his stage name Ren will launch his solo debut album. Ren is a former NU'EST member who is now ready to try his own career after the Pledis Entertainment group was officially disbanded. Since the beginning of his career, NU'EST has a distinctive color that no other group has.

In addition, all the personnel of this group also have distinctive vocals. As a vocalist at NU'EST, Ren really has to share the spotlight with the other members. But finally now fans can really enjoy the music prepared by Ren for his solo career. Ren's solo album is planned to be released in June. This album will be launched through his current management, namely Big Planet Made.

"Ren is currently preparing his solo album and plans to release it in June," the management said in a statement as quoted by News1. It's still not clear what color Ren will display in his solo album later. Likewise, the matter of music genres is still covered by management. Fans are expected to be patient and look forward to updates on this release via Ren's social media and his management.

What is certain according to management, Ren's appearance this time will be different from what he showed at NU'EST. During his career, NU'EST has shown many different concepts ranging from cheerful teenagers to adults. What Ren looks like in his solo project is certainly curious. "Ren will try a new challenge," management continued about his artist's solo debut.

Apart from being active in NU'EST, Ren also appeared on musical stages several times which made his vocal range even wider. He has appeared in the musical Jamie as one of the actors Jamie along with 2AM's Jo Kwon and ASTRO's MJ.  Ren also played Hedwig in the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Ren's solo project as a singer did not start with the album which will be released in June. Previously he had released several solo songs such as LOCO (9:00 pm), Paradise, You & I, and Rocket Rocket. But this is his first solo album after NU'EST disbanded and joined Big Planet Made's management.
