The film 'Ghostbusters' returns to accompany Trans TV Cinema viewers. This action-comedy genre film airs on Thursday May 18, 2023, at 21.45 WIB to be exact. Released in 2016, this film is a reboot version of 'Ghostbusters' which was first released in 1984. It took almost 30 years to realize this new 'Ghostbusters' since the presence of 'Ghostbusters II' (1989).
This time, it was Paul Feig's turn to direct this film. Previously, he worked on Bridesmaids (2011), The Heat (2013) and Spy (2015). 'Ghostbusters' presents Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as a group of exterminators of supernatural disturbances.
With a line up of so many comedians, Ghostbusters promises to be hilarious in the midst of their action to catch the devil. This film tells about Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) and Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) who have been good friends since childhood. They used to believe in ghosts and wrote books about the existence of ghosts and paranormal activity.
However, Erin left this and was very surprised when she found out that Abby had published their book without her permission. He must maintain his good reputation at one of the leading universities which could be threatened due to the popularity of the book.
Abby agrees to stop publishing their book on the condition that Erin accompanies herself and one of her colleagues, Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), to investigate paranormal activity at a museum. They managed to witness firsthand the ferocious ghost in the museum.
This incident convinced Erin to join a ghost hunt in New York and as a result she had to be fired by the university where she worked because she was proven to interact with supernatural activities. One more thing that becomes a weapon is the presence of Chris Hemsworth who is a differentiator in the film.
Chris' involvement as Kevin, a handsome receptionist who isn't very good at giving a unique and interesting color. According to Chris Hemsworth, his involvement in this film really helped his comedic abilities. Watch 'Ghostbusters' in Trans TV Cinemas today at 21.45 WIB.
