VICTON's Seungsik was confirmed positive for Covid-19. This was revealed directly by the agency, IST Entertainment. "We inform you that VICTON member Kang Seungsik has been diagnosed with Covid-19 once again," he said, launching from Soompi on Monday January 9, 2023.
According to the agency, VICTON's Seungsik initially underwent an antigen swab test to check his health. But the result turned out to be positive for the corona virus. "This morning (January 8, 2023), Kang Seungsik tested positive using the self-test kit he used as a precaution," said IST Entertainment.
"He then immediately went to the hospital and underwent a rapid antigen test, and was eventually diagnosed with Covid-19." Luckily the swab test results of all the other VICTON members were negative for Covid-19. Even so, Seungsik will still undergo independent isolation and will be absent from all schedules.
"Kang Seungsik is currently undergoing self-isolation according to the government health authority guidelines," he said. Not to forget, the agency asked fans who attended the fan sign event on January 7, 2023 to take a swab test just in case.
"We recommend that fans attending the in-person Soundwave and Makestar fan signing event on January 7, 2023 also use a self-test kit as a precaution," explained IST Entertainment. "We apologize for worrying many people, and we will do our best for our artist's health and speedy recovery. Thank you," he concluded.
