South Korean actor, Park Bo-gum embarked on his last military vacation which marked that the actor had completed his active duty early because he was not obliged to return to base. So said a Navy official quoted from Yonhap on Monday February 21, 2022.
Park Bo-gum left the Navy unit at Gyeryongdae military headquarters to begin a holiday that will last until his official discharge date, April 30, 2022. Typically, troops are required to be present at their respective bases on the last day of their service.
However, these rules have been relaxed in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Technically, Park Bo-gum remained a soldier until the release date. He has served in the Navy since August 2020. All able-bodied South Korean men must serve in the military for approximately two years.
This comes as the country continues to face security threats from North Korea. Park Bo-gum debuted in acting through the thriller Blind (2011). She gained immense popularity after having the lead roles in dramas Reply 1988 (2015) and Love in the Moonlight (2016).
