Hwang Min-hyun finally returned to the small screen after successfully starring in the drama Alchemy of Souls last year. His latest drama this time is entitled My Lovely Liar, which was previously known as Useless Lies. Interestingly, the former NU'EST member will later compete acting with Kim So Hyun in the upcoming drama.

Reported by Soompi, Hwang Min-hyun also finally revealed the reason for starring in My Lovely Liar in his interview some time ago. This was in fact inseparable from the director he admired, Nam Sung Woo. “I wanted to try playing in a modern romantic drama, and I found My Lovely Liar through a golden opportunity.

Because I also like some of director Nam Sung Woo's works, I had a great desire to work with him," he said. Furthermore, Hwang Min-hyun explained in more detail regarding his reasons for accepting the main character's offer. He commented, “When I first read the script, I was immediately drawn to the unique stories of the main characters.

I love watching the characters worry about each other, work together to solve problems, and gradually try to recover from their respective struggles .” Not left behind. Hwang Min-hyun also gave leaks about the details of his role in My Lovely Liar. It is known, Hwang Min-hyun will play Kim Do Ha. He is the most successful music producer in Korea. However, he then 'disappeared' due to an incident.

“Kim Do Ha is a character who keeps a lot of secrets. Moreover, he withdrew and lived a life cut off from the outside world for a long time. Unintentionally, he ended up living a double life,” he explained. He continued, “However, after meeting Mok Sol Hee, the only person who believed in him, he slowly showed himself again and gradually began to change.

Also, he is a bit clumsy person, and sometimes has awkward interactions with other people and sometimes through unexpected ways, I think that will make the audience laugh too.” On the other hand, the new drama My Lovely Liar will air on July 31, 2023. The 16-episode drama will air every Monday and Tuesday on tvN and Viu.
