NCT's Haechan, is currently taking a break from all of his scheduled activities due to health problems. On Saturday July 22, 2023, SM Entertainment announced via the Kwangya Club website that Haechan was experiencing pain in his back and shoulders, so he had to rest for a while.
In the midst of recovering from his condition, Haechan apologized to fans for his absence at NCT Dream's 7th anniversary debut fanmeeting, as well as being absent from promoting their third comeback album 'ISTJ'. Not wanting to make fans sad and worry about the situation, the idol born in 2000 actually promised a dance challenge performance to entertain fans.
Via a message on the Bubble application, Haechan promised to do a dance challenge for EXO's Baekhyun song 'Betcha'. "I will record and upload 'Betcha' Baekhyunie hyung after my body gets better. I was surprised to see Jeno doing a poppy dance during practice," said Haechan, as quoted from the Instagram account @nctzenarea on Sunday July 23, 2023.
Fans suspected that Haechan should have performed the song's dance challenge during the 'Dream Land' fanmeeting on Saturday, July 22, 2023. But unfortunately, he was unable to participate due to illness. That's why Haechan promised fans that he would record and share his performance after he recovered.
In response to this, fans also asked Haechan to focus more on recovering his condition first. " You mean, did Haechan have to dance to Baekhyun's song during yesterday's fanmeeting? " asked a fan. " You don't need to think about that first, Haechan.
The important thing is that you get better first, " said another fan. " Haechan is still sick, still really makes the mood. I've always wanted to see him dance to Baekhyun's 'Betcha' song, I know he has plans ," commented another fan. " This child really can't be quiet for a while, there's just a breakthrough.
Rest first, Haechan ," wrote another fan. Meanwhile, NCT Dream will continue to promote their comeback with their third full album 'ISTJ' with only 6 members without Haechan, until he recovers and can return to his normal activities. Once again, get well soon for NCT's Haechan.
