NCT's Taeil, had a motorcycle accident. This was reported by SM Entertainment's management on Tuesday August 15, 2023. In management's statement, the accident occurred early in the morning on August 15, 2023. When the accident occurred, Taeil was on his way home from an official meeting on his motorbike.
Immediately after the accident, the Favorite singer was immediately taken to the hospital for examination. Apparently there is a part of his leg that is cracked and needs surgery. Therefore, SM Entertainment canceled all of Taeil's activities for the foreseeable future until the vocalist recovers.
NCT itself is scheduled to hold a grand concert for all sub-units on August 26, 2023 entitled NCT Nation: To The World. As a result of this accident, it is certain that Taeil will not be able to appear and participate on stage. Following is SM Entertainment's official statement regarding Taeil NCT's accident:
"Hello, we would like to update Taeil NCT's physical condition and schedule. In the early morning of August 15 South Korean time, Taeil had an accident while riding a motorbike back home after completing official activities. He was taken straight to the hospital afterwards to be examined and receive treatment.
The results found a fracture in his right femur and required surgery. Taeil is currently in preparation for surgery at the hospital and is receiving all the treatment he needs. Due to this incident, Taeil will be temporarily halting his activities to focus on treatment and recovery;
As a result, we ask for fans' understanding as Taeil will not be participating in the NCT Nation: To The World concert on August 26. We apologize to fans for the sudden worrying news. Management promised to prioritize Taeil's health more than anything else and we will make sure Taeil can greet fans again in good health. Thank You."
